On June 30th I placed an order with Carols Daughter. I have been a customer for 2 years. I received someone elses order this last time so I thought calling their customer service department would go easily. It did not to say the very least. I was told that what I had indeed ordered was now on backorder. That confused me to start, because I was never told at any point when ordering, that it was on back order or I never would of placed the order to begin with. I called customer service at Carols Daughter and spoke with Aaron, then Corey and lastly Sonja. Both Aaron and Sonja were very rude, almost accusing me of keeping the wrong product. I felt like I was going crazy. Helpless because over the phone your unable to do anything but yell and I refused to do that. I thought once I got the manager I would get somewhere but she was even worse than who she oversaw. Her name was Julia. She kept calling me someone elses name. I had to remind her 3 different times what my name actually was.

She ended up screaming at me and hanging up. I sat there again thinking I must be on some game show and anytime someone would say "Gotcha" THATS how crazy this was. Even now writing this, which I have never ever done, I see how crazy this sounds. I actually tried the next day, being today, to call back once more to see if I got a different sales rep. I ended up getting Aaron again. I tried to explain once more what happened. He was just as rude, speaking to me like I was 5 years old and when he asked if I wanted to speak to his manager I was ready. Julia got back on the phone and didn't give me a chance to say a word. She spouted off dates and policies and I let her talk for nearly a minute and a half. It was when I heard her say she could do nothing to help me that I spoke up. I told her I was reporting Carols Daughter to the Better Business Bureau and she laughed at me saying she didn't care and hung up on me for the last time. I am not disputing Carols Daughters products, if you can get the right order, but I have never in my life been treated so horribly". I am in law enforcement and to be accused of theft of a $12 bottle of hair product was offensive to say the least/. I wil never order from Carols Daughter again?. I am trying to tell as many of my friends as I can;. NO doubt they will never see any result of my effort but for me its the principal of it not the money|. Thanks for reading this;. I feel better already?. OH and I disputed the charge on my credit card so in the end I got back my $40;. I just hope whoever did get MY order has REALLY great hair because it's SO not worth it. 12938db

The customer service department is an abomination and should be outsourced. They cannot look up an order without the order number and offer no apologies for tracking my order that was not received correctly. The agent was so rude at one point I had to laugh instead of meet this person at her level.

I have not experienced that type of ignorance since I renewed my D L.

Also, the Macy's in Chicago is a shell and should shut down.

At least there are other outlets - the online experience caused a headache that I can't forget.

I order the oil free foaming face wash and it sucked ALL of the oil from my skin! My face was so dry it almost cracked. I was also very disappointed in fragrances they smell to girly, not designed for a woman.

This is the first time I have bought Carols Daughter. I bought the healthy hair butter. It is not moisturizing at all, and it smells really bad. I also suffered an allergy attack I can't stop sneezing. I will never buy any of the products again..... Yuk

OH MY! I am terribly sorry to hear this. Just horrible. Well I will not be investing my hard earned money into this disgraceful company. There are too many BETTER natural hair companies such as Oyin Handmade and Bee Mine Products! Customer service is FAMILY! The nerve of Carols Daughter!

The products are made with corn oil and mineral oil. Very cheap, and horrific for hair and skin. They fragrances were nice at one point, but now that they're being mass manufactured, they smell plasticky and cheap, like car air freshener. Also, they don't list all the ingredients in some of the formulations such as preservatives, so I no longer trust what's in the products and that the ingredients are accurately reported on the label. It does bother me that Mary J. and Jada (investors) wear wigs and clearly don't use the products on their hair, and it's actually offensive that they advertise the whole "Jada's Dynamic Duo" (aka wig washer). And, agree; their customer is shockingly awful. It always has been. Rude, indignant and incompetent people working for the company. Have heard the company is doing very badly, and barely holding on with HSN. Not surprised. Crap service and cheap products. Sad.

I responded to an email listing a sample that would be given away with a $50 order. My order totaled nearly $75. However, there was no place to add the code for the give-away. I really wanted the products so I placed the order and then wrote to customer service. I received one reply - that I should have entered the code (although as I stated, there was no place to enter it). I have called/left messages/sent a letter, etc., etc., etc. - all to no avail. Most of the time, they won't even answer the phones - it goes to a voicemail loop or asks you to leave a message which is never returned. I have NEVER had such awful service. It goes without saying that I will never order from them again. But I want to know - who do they think they are that they can treat people in this way? UGH - They get an F -. The bad part is that the products that I have ordered from them have actually been good. But, I can't, in good conscience support a company that treats people like this. And they wonder why it is sometimes hard to support minority-owned businesses!

Reading these negative comments concerning Carols Daughter's customer service agents and the way you have all been treated saddens me. I have always worked in a customer service capacity and know that, 'we' are the first contact generally in representing a business. I was thinking maybe they are disgruntled employees. Still there is no excuse for rudeness to customers. I am owner of Shimmer's, a sole proprietor that can afford to take great care in designing hand-crafted natural/organic moisturizers. Please stop by www.shimmersbodybynature.com and learn more about me and my business. The store will be open hopefully soon. Thank you for reading, and never give someone your hard earned money, that does not respect you.

My wife use to buy from Carol's daughter but had issues with customer service and she found a small company called Sky Soap. They have great soaps. lotions. organic scrubs, organic lip balm and much more. They said hair products will come later. We love their products. It's a very small business based in Marietta GA. They also have a Skin Relief lotion and soap that works great for eczema. Give them a try. www.myskysoap.com
